About the event

Tanya Walker is an established awarding winning singer songwriter, composer, musician & choir leader. She performs as both solo artist and with accompanying band, often supported by a variety of highly skilled internationally renowned musicians in her haunting, emotive, piano driven performances.

Global Winner of the Talent Is Timeless Songwriting Competition 2023, her song ‘Good Days, Bad Days’ was selected as the winning song out of 3,150 entries from Canada and Europe. It was recorded at Abbey Rd Studios and following release, it will be played at Café Neros throughout the UK.

As well as a songwriter & performer, Tanya leads five community choirs in Wales and also creates opportunities for young people from Rhondda Cynon Taf to build confidence and resilience through original music making, as part of the Councils SONIG project.

As well as sessions being an opportunity for participants to have fun and learn to sing as a group, Tanya’s workshops utilise music and singing as a way of enhancing feelings of wellbeing, health, happiness, self-acceptance and confidence in participants.
