Playing and Improvising Jazz Workshop

This workshop, which has been specially arranged for the Revibe Fest, is designed for

people of any age who would like to explore playing and improvising jazz. All instruments are

welcome - including voice.

This may be your first foray into the world of jazz or you may be well versed in playing, but

want to improve your improvisation skills. Come along with your instrument for a fun

afternoon exploring how to tackle jazz.

Jazz saxophonist Joe Northwood is multi-instrumentalist educator, promoter and musical

activist. He has spent his career championing jazz and creative music, as well as using his

skills as an educator.

Joe is a prominent voice in the South Wales jazz and creative music community. He was the

winner of the 2018 Jazz for Jed Award, which made annually to assist in the promotion and

development of jazz music in Wales.
