As Covid advanced, the lockdown in 2020 was affecting productions with audiences barred from live productions.  Black Mountain Jazz was no exception and show cancellations were a consequence.  

 

As musicians and the production crews had been booked, the club resorted to producing videos instead.  Not an easy task as distancing rules were in place but some stunning videos were produced and made available to audiences online.

 

One of the first videos produced brought together the magical voice of Luca Manning and the amazing pianist Fergus McCreadie.  This podcast, presented by John Hellings in his usual informative style, is the first of two produced from the 2020 video recording.
