For 25 years, trombonist Dennis Rollins has played at the forefront of the UK jazz and funk scenes and was the founder/band leader of Badbone & Co.
He has accompanied some of the jazz/funk greats including Maceo Parker, Courtney Pine - and pop personalities such as Jamiroquai, The Brand New Heavies, Blur, Dionne Warwick and Tom Jones.
Velocity Trio features Hammond organ virtuoso Ross Stanley and fiery drummer Pedro Segundo. Its unique line-up honours the jazz traditions while pushing it forward.
The electric energy of his more recently formed Velocity Trio covers a wide area, ranging from atmospheric ethereal melodies from Dennis Rollins' harmonised horn to terra firma straight-ahead jazz and groove.
The band mixes the melodic and rhythmic patterns of Tango with the harmonies and improvisation of Jazz..
The music frequently reflects the atmosphere common a few decades ago in Buenos Aires, where dancing evenings both with Tango Orchestras and Jazz Bands were organised - known as 'Tipica and Jazz'.
Tango Jazz have completed five international tours and they have played in the most important jazz clubs and festivals all over the world.
As a consequence of their strengthening in the European Jazz Scene, this sixth tour will take them to Switzerland, England & Wales, France, Belgium, Spain, Serbia, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria - including six performances in Jazz Festivals and fifteen in Jazz Clubs.

Last year it proved very popular, so again we are staging Jazz Alley - great music, good food, the festival bar and - most importantly - no entry charge. We are aiming for a repeat of 2015 and have the Market Hall packed, with a wide variety of non-stop entertainment.
The opening Samba session promises to be exciting, with the opportunity of not only watching but also joining in.
First on stage will be the popular local duo of Dave Hobbs and Craig Webb, who were so well received at a recent BMJ club night.
Next on stage will be the exciting KoGo Project - who have a debut album, 'Do It', soon to be available - featuring a diverse range of jazz-funk grooves and some really tasty musicianship. You can use this link to visit their website and listen to some of their music.
Baraka will take the stage later in the afternoon - a unique combination of musicians from Ghana, Senegal, Dominica, Trinidad and Southern Ireland. Truly a World music band, bringing together influences not only from Africa and the Caribbean, but also Germany and Southern Ireland. Use this link to visit their website, where there is plenty of music to listen to.
Bookmark Sunday 4th September for an afternoon at the Market Hall, where a great time is on offer - whatever the weather.
The Red Stripe Band are in their 22nd year in the business. Their colourful career has seen their latest original CD "Soho Surprise" top at number 10 in the London Jazz Charts and their songs used on Radio and TV alike - including by Pizza Giant Papa Johns in the USA.
They have played at every Jazz and Blues festival in the UK and picked up best newcomer at Montreux Jazz Festival in 2010.
Expect to be entertained with both original songs and boogie woogie, swing and rock n roll classics.
Food stalls and the wall2wall bar will be available throughout the evening.
